I just realized that we could already get our hands on a Death Stranding figure, simply by getting one of the thousand Daryl Dixon McFarlane figures and putting it on a naked body.

Anyone here having ideas which figures would fit the bill?

I've looked, there aren't any good options. Most of the walking dead figures are in a weird scale between 1/18 and 1/12 and have bad likenesses at that.

Like how would you even compare a story heavy stealth game series to a game where you stab cultists with a pitchfork and make puns?
That is like saying saying Silent Hill 2 is inferior to Sam and Max: Hit the Road.
It's nonsense.
Also the only Sam Lake game I have played is Alan Wake which was mediocre at best.

that was McFarlane trying to do articulated figures...... not only is the articulation like that. the figures were 5 inches (while most of McFarlane are 7 inches.

I think it was supposed to be a half-statue, some parts are pre-sculpted in an awkward way so that it only looks decent in one single pose the figure was meant to hold. IIRC this fig is supposed to be posed in an aiming stance with a rifle, hence the raised right shoulder and leaning head. But heck, even then there's no excuse for those chicken arms and terrible biceps cuts.

Once they stopped doing retarded gimmicks and prepose bullshit like that one the Walking Dead figures were at least decent. The scale was definitely retarded, though. Unfortunately the move to 7 inches came with a return to the days of the McStatue

Just got the following:

>Mad's custom 1/6 head (had to remove all the painting in the hair and paint it white)
>got a very thin brush to paint the black "tears" going down his eyes
>got a cheap 1/6 body with a couple of different set of hands
>a desert camo and a vest (had to paint both to give the wet surface/dirty clothing look)
>got the 1/6 rifle as well
>just cut up some old wires and attached them under his vest to appear as those cords from the trailer

Got everything from Aliexpress, you can find it easily, spent about 60 bucks max.

I remember tweeting this to Kojima himself and the guy actually noticed me, I was so fucking happy man.
