Plenty of toys sell out instantly and are never reproduced. It's not an anomaly by any means in the toy world, it's just the way things are sometimes. Companies either decide that it's not worth gambling on whether they can sell an entire second run, or they'd rather move on to something else, or they just plain have a single run policy, like lots of web exclusives. If 1000Toys continued to make 1/6 Synths until every single person who wanted one got one, not only would they not have time to work on exciting new stuff, but the mold would also degrade over time, getting worse and worse with every run.
