Maketoys are going nuts with their own original designs for characters and are dipping into the MP Galaxy Force side of things.
Toyworld was Igear, got fucked by their own designers who left to form Zeta, and had to start over after popularizing pants forming big combiners. They're now tackling some really neat bay/ Bumblebee movie designs, legends scale, some Predaking, they're all over the place.
UT/DX9 kinda fucked up with their G1 stuff but have ventured into bay movie territory with some stand out pieces with easy transformations and minimal kibble.
