Your two elements (dudes and dino) are so close they're overlapping, I think putting some distance between them would create more of an "emerging from the forest" feeling and create more tension. He looks like he's about to miss them and go on with his business.
It's leaning a tad toward overexposed, but not too bad. If you want to control your lighting even more you can start using stuff like shades and bounce lighting to specifically inject and remove light from your scenes. But hey, I'm nitpicking here, this is quite a nice shot and I think you're being too hard on yourself. If you find the Mega plastic too shiny, try knocking it back with a nice matte topcoat. This will add to the realism of your scene.
Also, sorry, this image isn't really helpful or anything, but I started adjusting levels and stuff and got way carried away having fun with it. If you are who I think you are from the Mega thread I'm a big fan of your work.
