Is Brian Flynn gonna be ok? He always sounds so disillusioned, bitter, and broken as a man whenever he's asked about the Club Grayskull figures and various QC problems they had, he talks like it's constantly grating on him like he's ready to eat a bullet. He says in the recent Pixel Dan video to stop with memes and shit posts if you have a derpy eye on a figure and contact Super7 so he can replace it with a non derpy one. This being in response to people noticing that a high number of the recent She-Ra Club Grayskull figures had an eye that was painted off center at the factory, so one eye looks like it's drooped down a little more than the other when you look at it up close. He's said in a few different interviews that the number of QC problems stems from the low production runs, there's always a certain amount of them, so that you see the QC problem's more often then you would normally in for example a larger line like Marvel Legends, which may have a run of typically 8 million per figure, because they're sold at massive retailers all over the country.
He talks about also how they fucked up Club Grayskull Tri-Klops' head, which had the QC issue of being painted inside as well with the eyes, which ended up gluing his eyes in place when the paint dried, preventing them from rotating.
For whatever reason, it seems to be a common issue with Club Grayskull figures that there's often problems with QC at the factory, and this predated Super7 with Mattel having massive paint problems on Evil-Lyn and miss-aligning He-Man's eyebrows, so that they weren't painted onto the sculpted brows. I'm not sure whatever is going on behind the scenes with Club Grayskulls, but regular Classics don't usually have fuck ups.
Anyway, here's the Pixel Dan interview with news on new figures, with Flynn saying there may be more Conan figures on the way, that the original Marvel version is just the first and was chose because it fits with He-Man.
