>>7419582>Starwars can probably still sell like it used toAs evidenced by what? You're pulling that out of your desire for it to do so. In its current state, Star Wars can NOT sell like it used to. Kenner SW toys sold in the millions of each figure. Today, you can't even get the die-hard fans to buy every rerelease of a character just because it's on a new card or the same outfit with a slightly different sculpt. OT purists aren't rushing out to buy the 17th variant of Tatooine Luke.
Sorry dude, but if all your arguments are based on what you want to happen while ignoring the reality of how things actually are, you're only going to disappoint yourself.
And everyone will tell you Lucasfilm wanted too much for Indiana Jones before they were bought by Disney, so saying the obvious now that they are Disney owned, okay, what's your point and what's changed? The asking price has only gone up.
Also, If SW could sell what it used to, you'd see more playsets on the market. Toys in general just aren't the same as they used to be. Video games has enormously eaten away at the market share. And pumping out nothing but generic army builders is not a market-winning strategy. We had pegwarmers in the Hoth Snowtroopers and AT-AT Drivers in the 6" series recently.
