Why even put articulation on these? Look at Jason's crotch area. Kinda breaks up the whole aesthetic, which is what articulation points normally do, but in this case the figures are sculpted with a set pose in mind, so these guys having articulation points in their shoulders/hips/neck or wherever (looks like it varies) is kinda of a waist.

That being said, these aren't my cup of tea to begin with, I prefer more accurate looking stuff, but it's cool to see horror getting so much love lately.

Mine shipped, but I got them from the NECA store (this one: https://thenecastore.com/). I haven't looked to see if they're on the eBay store yet, but the whole deal with the club/store is they're meant to ship from there first anyway. So expect them to hit mass retail in another week or two probably.

Probably my #1 favorite reveal of the show, definitely a huge surprise. I never thought that was possible. I don't even like the retro cloth line, but kid bodies look like they'll scale well with my other horror figures, and the cloth doesn't look weird on these (except some of it on the witch)

being an australian collector is so fucking shit because we have to rely on online orders which means we can't see the figures in their packages before buyng and get fucked so easily on the obviously defective figures.
i've bought three fucking machiko figures now and every single fucking one has had a major issue that makes it require a return, which is an absolute fucking wind up with some places.
i just want ONE that is passable and doesn't have backwards legs or broken elbows or missing accessories.

Not sure, because the nostalgia goggles are making it impossible for me to see any shortcomings in the NECA Scorpion Alien. Scorpion Alien was my favorite when I was a kid, so I'm just thrilled to have any sort of updated representation of it. I honestly would have never dreamed that would happen.

Apone is beautifully recreated. I remember having this figure as a kid and losing the rubber grenades instantly... I think I had ONE left for the longest time, and it eventually tore.

The nice thing is the mechanical parts on him are all rubber, except the piston, which is a plastic piece that fits into a ball joint at the shoulder. All the camera stuff is rubber too, so no worries about any thing breaking there.

He comes with two grenades like before, but he's also got these two bendy green pieces that I cannot for the life of me figure what their purpose is. They appear to fit the grenades on both ends (the grenades remove from the throwing stick), so you could like...make a grenade bola? I don't know.

The Snake is a clever bit of reuse, it's mostly the queen alien tail! Every "finger" on the ribcage is articulated. I thought they were ball joints at first, but they're actually tiny hinge swivels.

The Snake's "tongue" can extend quiiiiiite a ways out. The fangs are also on hinge swivels, so you can really just go crazy on "emoting" the face.

No problems on any of these figures. The only thing I had to heat up was the mech arm on Apone to get that elbow joint moving. Everything else was free n'good.

And to do a quick continuation of my haul of shit, my BBTS order came in yesterday, got all that opened too. The Kenner Terminator figures are way cool, I like the color change T-1000 a lot, though it really will depend on your room temperature and other factors how long he stays a certain way.

No problems on these guys either. I did put a little Elmer's in the T-800's feet ball joints just to stiffen those up cause of that heavy arm, but all good otherwise.

The Kratos 2-pack is awesome, but I did have the most "problems" here. Mostly with stuck joints on Atreus, though even there it wasn't that bad, it was one thigh and one bicep swivel. Little bit of hot on the bicep swivel to pop that free, bit of cold to crack the thigh swivel.

They're both great now, but Atreus' tiny, tiny, tiny joints would worry me probably, so be gentle on him.

The original one was rubbery so it looks like the NECA version you can either turn them into stick grenads, which have a handle to throw them with and the mace like head with the actual explosive in it would impale itself on something/someone and explode. The bendy bit looks as if they turn into some sort of bola grande set up where they would be thrown and wrap around a limb or whatever you're aiming for.

Dumb question to anyone with the new Gremlin figures - how much luck have any of you had with posing the legs?

I bought 3 Ultimate Gremlins and they all have super tight hips and knees that refuse to bend or straighten, but also pretty loose ankles.

(I'm afraid to force them too much because my Stripe's hand broke when I was trying to angle his wrist inward.)

I know there’s some unique ones but usually for something as big as Slattern or now 2019 KG, it’s more less a one time use (though I’ve came up with ways for them to re-use those sculpts like battle damage, poster, etc. but hey, I ain’t running their business). Alien queens sculpt has been used quite a few times, probably will be for that possible alien resurrection queen toy Randy is hinting at.

So idk, pretty upset with how Randys not owning up to what he said resorting to lying saying “huhuh what? I never said that, don’t assume”. Just ehh.

A NECA rep in an interview at toy fair said NECA has one more figure for King of the Monsters sculpted and ready to go, just can't be shown yet. She specified it's not Ghidorah.
I originally thought it was just going to be another repaint of their Godzilla in burning mode, since it was leaked that Godzilla will become burning godzilla, but she specifically used the word "sculpted" which makes me think it could be this new mystery monster that was in the last tv spot. The director I guess confirmed today any other kaiju in the movie will be an original kaiju, so I guess we'll be getting an original kaiju from this movie.

Nice! I don't know if this is your first spacesuit figure or not, but I hiiiiiighly recommend popping the head off, popping the helmet into the two parts, and using some heat to warm up the collar, then pushing the bottom half of the helmet in while it's pliable. That neck ring is super damn difficult without being heated up.

Personally, going out saying they have no plans at the moment to make the most anticipated monster from the movie is a pretty dumb business decision. Especially since you’re allowing your competition to make a killing on the only poseable film accurate version of KG (Bandai). But what do I know, just a fan willing to buy after all.
