>>7414785That's probably the one thing stopping me from jumping into this KS as well. I don't feel this is a scam as he's been trying to get these figures made for years and the Skeleton/Blanks are still in production. But he should have held off on the generic soldiers until those figures were finished and shipped. Having seen discussions with the creator, he seems like a good guy, though just in over his head with the whole toy production stuff. Working with overseas factories is notoriously difficult, even for already established companies. A lone guy like this is probably getting raked over the coals.
As for the figures themselves, I do feel they don't seem as...polished as the original designs. The colors on them just seem flat and off, especially the "deluxe" soldier. It's also clear a sacrifice was made to the base body to work with the tac-vest, which makes the figures in harnesses just look awkward. The shoulders specifically are way too bulky, and it's clear when you look at the figures next to other 6" lines.
The biggest gripe I have though is in the weapons, as they just seem fairly boring. I know more accessories are added costs, but some more modern guns would have been nice, and especially some AKs for the "bad guy" figures. At the very least, they should've been listed as stretch goals as 1:12 weapon packs are something I could see being very popular (I'm glad Marauder's finally tool that step, but they also have limited options).
Still, the color options are nice, and it's clear these are targeted towards Marvel Legends collectors. I've been wanting to build my own "generic" troops up at that scale and have been trying to find figures that would fit that purpose. If these guys had come out a few years back I'd say they'd be a fantastic option, but now with multiple troop builder packs and other generic figures, they have a bit more competition, and many at a lower price point.
