>>7450021>Any idea what the candy toys & exclusives were?I can help with the "main" candy toys, the exclusives were mostly recolours I think (and sometimes only the little core robots)
The candy toys have some general distinctions between them.
The first ones consisted of 4-5 creatures and one core robot (cheaper but almost identical to the ones used in the standard toys) that could form a robot together. I don't remember how many of those were released, maybe 3-4. They are pretty expensive now and honestly not that great.
Then came the ones I think are the best, each set consisting of 4-5 creatures and one humanoid which can form a bigger gestalt. These had a much stronger theming and colour scheme.
I'm not completely sure about the chronological order, but I think it goes:
Mugen Pharaoh, Mugen Arthur, Mugen Pirate, Mugen Ashura, Mugen Safari, Mugen Guardian, Mugen Satan (which I am still missing).
They also made smaller sets which mirrored the creatures in one specific bigger set, formed a dragon together and could be incorporated into one of the bigger set's gestalts. The red one goes with Ashura, blue with Guardian and white with Safari.
After these came Evolbine, where each creature itself had an egg, a sort of child and adult mode and could also form a gestalt. I think there were about three of these.
Then they made some sets not consisting of different creatures, but vehicles. I don't know much about those.
After that they made Mugen Saga, which is mostly reproductions of what I call the "main" sets. The first one was Pharaoh. If you bought a box you got each figure twice. In the following boxes they always gave you two full sets as well, but with different colours, one based on the original version and one a "dark version". The gestalts were sometimes changed sligtly and some got combined modes. They remade all of the "main" ones so far except for Mugen Satan and the small dragons.
Mugen Pharaoh and Mugen Arthur were also released in black white and gold.
