I worked at various cons and spent a large portion of my 20/30’s making a living drawing furry content and porn. My FA page is probably still up- I have a retired suit. The fandoms fucked. I’ve already stated it’s a majority of bad eggs tainting it and not the fandom as a whole, so if you’re taking it this to heart maybe take a moment to realise you’re part of the problem.
There’s huge pedo rings in Furry com, there’s huge rings of animal abuse- both of these are protected by even the most vanilla furry half the time because the sense of community is skewed and fucked. Does this happen elsewhere too? Yes. Does that stop it being an issue in the furry fandom, especially in the sense that half the ‘main’ people in it have well known ties to fucked up shit? Stop deflecting.
