I have bought new figuarts where the neck joint hemispheres were starting to separate, and after popping off the head i was able to just squeeze it a little to tighten it up.
Just pop that head off and have a look anon. Yes, it comes off. If you have baby strength find your little sister to do it.

Its been cold here recently, so i didn't want just to force it off. It really seemed stuck on, but i ran it under some hot water and it popped off. Can't really see why the neck joint is so mushy though.

me neither, these are all still difficult sculpts to pull off... and nailing the essence of each Rider while pushing them to an extreme, fresh new take isn't an easy thing. It's understandable that a bunch of people who haven't exactly done that with Kamen Riders, especially heisei ones who are all pretty damned different in tone, don't exactly pull it off like the guy who started the very thing that is SIC.

I really wonder what Takeya would have done with Fourze considering his own mech takes are still very organic and robotic at the same time. Also, I just like Fourze...

Is there a Samuraiman that is in-scale with the Super Minipla Kakuranger kits?

Also, any tips for refining SMP Muteki Shogun? He seems rather flimsy and just generally poor out of the box.

Well I already sunk $70 and probably around 10-15 hours into building the damn thing, so "Get this other kit" doesn't really help me.

I will probably end up getting the other two Kakuranger kits though, that series has god tier robot design.

Ultra-Acts are still great, and Taro came with a fair amount of accessories too. Just a heads up, Ultra-Act are idealized style and about 7", while Figuarts are more suit/show accurate and 6".

The Shodo-X's are a (while beautiful for their scale) a total rip-off with separation of their build parts. and at US markup and tax it's like 10.50 for a box and for Kamen Rider 2 you need 3 boxes because his hands are in the box with the bike accessories. can't we just get the regualr shodo figs like the Dragon ball (z/super) ones?

I don't think it's worth hunting down the Ultra Acts. Eventually all of them will get a SHF. Hell they have even made the kaijus... Not even Kamen Rider have been getting SHFs of the monsters for a while

Man it annoys me as I recently start getting into collecting SH Figuarts of Rider's that now the new business model is to have the main rider come with no accessory and be regular release, as well as a secondary and tertiary if there's any. There's too many protos I've seen and wanted for me to even hope these come out. Bandai is just cruel that way.

And I guess these are from the Zangetsu stage show as there are listings for proto suits of the background riders in that pick (along with Gridon). No reason that one can't be used as Black Baron if you wanted though. It looks the same to me.

I don't know why they just don't keep going back to the well with a big cast of riders. Ryuki, Gaim, and Ex-Aid seemed to have sold extremely well.

Because those shows require an extreme amount of investments in order to pull off. Many of the regular riders in Gaim (ex: Bravo and the Nut Riders) only had their main merch exclusively sold through Premium Bandai. Even going back to those shows for new merch depends heavily on careful planning of new promos or relevance that just rarely happens due to stricter focus on investing into the current airring show and after.

More Riders doesn't mean it's always sell more though. Also having more than 4, really means the story is more about the conflict between the riders than it is about the rider vs villains... which is Ryuki or Gaim. 4 riders already feel like a lot, even though it's almost always the norm nowadays. Build was the last one where I bought toys of every single rider. Kabuto, Build and Blade comes to mind, when I'm thinking of a show with 4 Riders and they all turned out fun to follow. It's crazy how many riders are now in a show.

So there's a production issue with the Geiz Revive watches. After popping the plastic tab out, a static charge develops and makes the beads stick rather than all falling down like they should.
It doesn't look like it would be hard to fix, but if you're buying or have bought it, just be prepared.

I think you can stop at the base -Kaiser mode, then pick and choose the chest and arms you like, some of the combinations look decent enough by themselves. VSX is the weakest mode for me, it looks like a dude on platform shoes with random vehicles hanging off the sides and freaky long arms.

Combining Legos and Ranger Keys makes for a very creative and rewarding toyline, but goddamn the sounds ruin it all, and I say this as a huge fan of Tomokazu Seki. Even though the brace is the changer, it's the sword that actually holds most of the sounds and they made it real pointless to require chomping the key 5 times a row. This is like the opposite of "good ideas, bad execution", where the toys are nice but the sounds and mundane gimmick is just bad.
Probably best to just stick to collecting the mech stuff and nothing else.

Mine had the same thing happen and it chipped the red paint slightly on the inside when I worked them back and forth to make it move. Maybe try heating them first to see if it helps lessen the chance of chipping. Kinda seemed like it was put together before the paint had time to dry and was holding them together.

I'm sort of... indifferent to the unpainted ride-watches. SHF is doing this weird thing where a lot of things have improved and some things you have to just take it as a compromise. I really was already expecting for them to be unpainted though even before the prototypes were shown. If they have a hard time of keeping paint application stay within the lines for general body parts, I wouldn't expect they'd want to get into paint QC for those tiny parts, even if they are the transformation gimmicks of the Rider.

Now, this is a related note, does anyone have a tutorial for making decals/stickers? I'd like to make some for my SHF Build belts.

The ridewatches are actually painted, the Zi-O ridewatch is painted gunmetal on the back, the bike ridewatch is painted silver,... The problem is they lack stickers which is fucking strange considering they give the Ziku Drivers stickers.

On the plus side, the ridewatches are very detailed (they have the fucking pins molded), and easier to fix than the gashats given how big the faces are.

Talk about SRC Dendoh levels of marketing (Super Robot Chogokin GEAR Fighter Dendoh series sold a Tamashii Web exclusive set with 4 Data Weapons after getting the Unicorn Drill with Dendoh and the Viper Whip with Knight GEAR Oger, and another set came out with the Kiba and Phoenix Aile. If you are wondering, this already happened before with Figuarts Fourze and all the 40 Modules were released in the exact same plan as the SRC Dendoh line, though only one Module Set was Tamashii Web exclusive).
