Otherwise yeah, the sets are trash - the only highlight is a few unique armours in the Hall Of Armour set.

The line will perform badly so they'll spend less money on the 2020 sets so the Eternals Lego sets will suffer - process will repeat with only Spider-man getting focus and sets it deserves.

Personally I have never watched an avengers so I don't understand why all this fucking controversy of avengers minifigures. They won't even play with the figs just horde them and leave em in a plastic bag never to be seen again

Also why hasn't the brick fan released the april 2019 store calender? It's march 5th and they still didn't release it when they usually do the first of the new month or by the 3rd but we are on day 5 and no store calender for the next month

Is Lego trying to hide something?

The challenge is to build a kickass automobile of any sort. From a road legal pickup truck to a track prepared race car, it does not matter, just make an auto to the best of your abilities. Here are the rules.

>must be minifig scale (4-8 studs wide)
>must post with email and timestamp
>can be any type of automobile (i.e. tow-truck, golf cart, F1 car, etc.)
>only LEGO bricks must be used, no chink knock-offs
>Reply to this post with a picture of your build

Winner gets all the stuff pictured with this post. Contest ends March 8th.

I don't know if you realize this but you get a lot of good parts for shaping cars from the speed champions boxes, especially wheels and windshields. Just pick up one or two and you can probably build all sorts of cars.

I got to figure out how to hinge the engine cover separate from the windshield. It looks wrong in silhouette, bottom pic.

It opens and closes very smoothly though. With only the 1x2 modified slopes actually clasping; which allows for a 45 degree decoupling.

Originally I had a standard air exhaust pipes 1x4 but then realized that it would be fun to make my own brickbuilt version. Fan pin got flipped back and forth a few times before settling on this version.

Cab has dashboard panels and gearshifter in the front seat and a raised narrow back seat

This thing was a bitch to put together because I really wanted to have a smooth fender skirt that ran all around from door to door, but tucking a six-wide set of tires behind a skirt is a challenge. I ended up using some 1x8 tiles for the base of the skirt and kludging together this snotted-up rear to get those 1x2 edged tiles upside-down hanging directly over the top of the rear wheels. There are a bunch of 1x2 plates snaking around each other to fit a pair of 1x1 with sideways clips, which is how I got the snot to happen.

Lego has never been better in terms of overall parts availability, set design, printing, price, number of sets available, etc.

The only things superior of old Lego were their packaging and a slightly better overall quality, only because no weaker molds or colors were used at the expense of variety and play-ability. And that's a stretch since quality has improved in a lot of other aspects.

Avengers Leviathan guy from a couple threads ago. I finished the model and everything. Too late to change anything but I hope you guys like it. It's styled as an actual set, double ball jointed in the middle for friction, body is entirely swooshable and articulated, etc. etc.

As soon as this house move is done I need to get the Lego back out. Especially the 2008 Castle stuff, I think that might be one of my favourite themes ever (along with Exo-Force). I don't know what everyone else thinks about this, but I love this thing. It's such a clever little vehicle and the fact that it can stand on its own is fantastic. I won't lie, I've rolled this thing on surfaces while making the sounds and it's the most fun I've had with Lego that didn't involve building something in a long time.

I ended up loving it a lot more than I thought I would.
Sadly, due to Lego's declining plastic quality the 2x1 slopes with stud, the yellow 1x2 plate modified that holds the handlebar and the small arches on the Duplo alien all cracked after a very short time.

The Black Knight's Castle aesthetic is pure kino, and that's starting to look great, but it seems like you're relying a bit too much on big panels alone. You need more small bricks in there to compliment them. That'll give it a little more shape, structure and a more finished look.

I don't really like the new star wnrs sets much at all. I do in fact appreciate the Darth Vader's castle which I bought directly from Lego Shop (something I hardly do anymore because of lack of discounts) and got the Darth Vader promo pod. But I hardly like any of the contemporary sets.

I passed on the UCS Slave 1 because I don't like when Lego makes ships in such an absurd scale up as in the TIE fighter and snow speeder as well. I can't tell if I like the new Cloud City set or not but I don't like it enough to pay anything above 300 for it.

I don't even think I would want to buy a new star destroyer since I have pic related. I also haven't done a huge order of bulk sets since like 2015 I really only like older sets now the new ones just don't appeal to me

There's zero point in getting the UCS Falcon in my eyes. You can't swoosh it, it has very very limited playability, and for $800 you could get a million other things including a nice little $100 Falcon that you find on sale that's swooshable, has a full interior, and scales better with your other ships.

Brief story behind this thing: I was going to build a historically accurate mini-fig scale Egyptian temple, but realized that it would way more bricks than I was comfortable buying. So instead I made a truck. The only parts I actually bought for this build are the axles, steering wheel, wheels and tires. Every other brick was from the temple.

As for the windows, they're pretty ancient parts, and a couple weeks ago were scratched to the point of being opaque. Turns out floor polish works really well to fix that, I should have taken before/after pics.

Thanks for suggestion, I modified it a bit and added a motor to hide that axle.
But like >>7439301 said, it has no friction, so I had to go around it a bit, so it now looks as if it was a support for the motor assemblage.
I also added more wheels to the back because I think it looks cooler.

Sorry i'm too late, here's my entry.
Six wide (sort of kind of), seats three.
I made some miscalculations that were illegal when i tried it out in person, some moving parts rubbed so i had to order some stuff to improvise. I like the new bumper style that came of it.

The headlights also move with the steering.
My old version had too much friction since the ridge of technicpins was bigger than i thought. I really wanted it to steer, but the redesign made it do this without planning. Really happy how that turned out.

I really like this, a few neat tricks go into building it. But the prints are downright frustrating, the blue stripe that goes along the top don't line up well and the white striped on the sides are faded because the prints are too light. But other than that, I love the car. I regret not picking up the f-40 so this is a nice consolation. Just need the gunsmith cats bluray to come out and I'll be set.
