>>7437283You and everybody else tries to sell this song and dance, yet the medium is alive and kicking in japan and Europe. This is because the product is shit and they charge too much for it, it doesn't help that they alienate new fans and old with constant reboots, renumbering, inconsistent characters, and endless events. Don't forget they also like to call their consumers entitled bigots and that "this is not for you".
All of this bullshit combined destroyed the industry outside of little success stories here and there. If the industry wants to succeed they need to increase quality, and sell in collected editions. People like TPBs because they get mroe for their money, but even that fails to bring in new eyes because everything is a mess continuity wise.
So you need decently paid PROFESSIONALS, to write good books, and sell them in trades, with some dirt cheap shonen jump esque alternatives. I don't expect Ike Perlmutter to do that though, the man is satan, it doesn't help diamond has a monopoly on comics distribution.
>There's too many alternative to physical comics. /pol/tards just hijacked the problem and turn it into another culture warIt was always a culture war thing, it crept in slowly and helped kill the medium. In fact it's prevelance hurt the hell out of the industry and hurried along it's demise. To pretend otherwise is dishonest when you have clowns like Sana Amanant running the show.
