He is decent as a "fluff" channel, but he is pretty terrible if you are looking for hard information on anything in particular. His reviews don't really touch on anything useful.

That's weird because when they used to do comparison videos they basically straight up admitted that the imports were hands down better quality and that's why they had to come up with other criteria to compare them so it wouldn't just be a boring sweep

he's entertaining, but most of the "main" videos are just good simply because of their production value.
The best videos are Dan in the photo booth ones where I actually get to see the toys and hear him rambling about them freely instead of hearing a wiki article and seeing a picture of the toy he's talking about for one second

Yeah, Toy Galaxy is easily my favorite toy-related channel that I've seen.

The short, concise and well-produced nature of Dan's videos EASILY outweigh any other problems for me - I'd rather watch/listen to a handful of 10-minute Toy Galaxy videos than an hour of some chud droning on from a dank basement that sounds like SAW and looks like the Blair Witch Project.

And why did you bring up Japan? I'm not a weeb that has an issue with all western toys. It's that Toy Galaxy's videos are legit 90% garbage like Marvel Legends capeshit, Transformers, Nu Star Wars, and literal Flea market pick ups you'd find in some kid's play bin. On occasion they put out a video with higher end toys. Other western toy companies are fine, those are trash.
