They all have their strengths as weaknesses.
Figma is the king of anime waifus and as other anon said their overall complete package makes them a good bang for their buck. But imo they have become overpriced and the articulation schemes have gone to shit on a lot of them which I find ironic since the archetype they put out to be near perfect. Anything non cartoony or waifu based ends up turning out looking like shit. See Phoenix Wright, Kazama Kiryu, Bruce Lee the KoF figumas and and alot of the Overwatch faces.
SHF is almost the opposite where they kill it on non anime stuff except DBZ. Their anime and waifu stuff tends to be lackluster but imo looking at their future stuff like Spike I think they can catch up to figma.
If you don't care about articulation and you leave your shit in neutral poses Figma wins hands down and the best way to see this is compare their Cardcaptor Sakura's and Batman Ninja's but again you pay a premium for figma.

Overall remember kids taste is subjective. Only thing that matters is who's making what you want.
