I just clean mine when I change their outfits, wash with warm water and soap then powder then till they are not sticky. The boxed character ones I never changed or cleaned really and they are fine, have not had cracking except on ones which where mishandled.

I've only ever seen the very selective prototype shots for these bodies and holy shit those rubbery elbows/shoulders look bad. Concerns about this are exactly why I didn't pull the trigger.

I completely missed this thread when I made mine. I'm going to get DMCV Nero because he's teh best, kinda want the alt color version if they ever made it, might sell my DMC4 Dante to get DMC3 or 5 when they come out. Much as I liek DMC4's design it's got too much going on and too many "leather" goods.

Can we talk about Ash and how he betrayed us all for vynil feet and figures of his wife.

Well, yeah. There's no real way to make that elbow and knee skin deform properly over a thin or wire internal skeleton. It's always gonna look like a strange gumby arm. Unless you were to do an extremely thin and stretchy skin over a very anatomically accurate internal skeleton--but such a setup would be so fragile it probably wouldn't be worth it anyway.

Kumik's headsculpt is clearly much better, but these clothes look way more high quality than theirs. Kumik didn't even do the crocheted sweater or the beanie, and a lot of the other stuff like the shirt and shorts look more carefully done as well.

I have their Dante, it's not bad in person and will probably look closer to this. The real issue I have with it is the gun being not at all properly sized compared to the game, and sometimes the face doesn't look quite right. But it could just be after effects and being not close enough to see his eyebrows.

Where the heck are you getting parts that cheap? Everywhere I see figures getting parted out to at least make up the base cost, if not more. And often the best/most appealing parts are missing, those get snapped up quick.

Probably after Nero, but not for a bit, because DMC3 Dante is next. I don't have the pics of it, but aside from the coat nothing about it looked right.

Okay, so apparently not only is this the final design and it looks way worse than Vergil, but it's also coming out as early as April or june? You can't even find this on the new website you have to go to the old website to find it, I don't even know if that works either, because I had to find it via google.

Eugh. I feel like Asmus saw Hot Toys doing the hyper-textured skin thing and thought "hey, we wanna get in on that!" Only they had no fucking idea what they were doing and just made their faces look very old and dry and leathery. Look at all those lines under his eyes, jeez. Young Dante needs a new moisturizer routine.

They even fixed issues on the proto, only thing standing out is his coat is supposed to be silk, not leather.

Did anyone here preorder the Wings of the Trial 1/6 from Core Play? The projected date of delivery was around October of last year. There hasn't been news of it since ever. I'm thinking of just canceling my preorder and refunding, it seems like it's never coming out.

Their armor is alright, and their sculpt work is close enough to hot toys tier, but the paint work is not in the same league and the prices used to reflect that. This is the kind of shit I want to see more of in 1/6. Everyone is trying to be Hot Toys these days, it's so damn serious and boring. I'm sick of dickwaving contests on who can put the most microscopic pockmarks on a headsculpt. I miss the stylized semi colorful figures they made with great play ability, sculpts, and accessories. Nothing else liek it on the market besides foxbox really if they still make shit. Synth human too. I've got TK ronin Sun , Penumbra, and a few soldiers, but I missed out on some of the wilder designs by ash. Shame he went off the deep end and stopped offering figures people wanted.

Oh shit. I’d seen the figure put up on preorder on BBTS but the thumbnail was just the dull detective figure. Didn’t realize he was a damn werewolf! I really hated the looks of Coomodel’s first few monster figures (Vampire, Werewolf, and the ugly ass witch.) But the Frankenstein’s monster and mummy were much better designed, and this is more along the lines of those two.

Just got it in. Nice looking sculpt, OK articulation (no torso rotation, but maybe I can fix that with some heat-and pop?), and the vinyl on the bodysuit looks really good. But the fit of that bodysuit is really bad. She looks like she’s carrying a load in her pants. Likewise, she has too much under her armpits. I tried pushing the legs of the suit up to take up the crotch slack, but that didn’t work in the slightest, so if I wind up keeping this thing, I’d absolutely have to get a new suit.

Yeah. They’re big, heavily articulated, hand-painted and detailed, and out of production. eBay is the wrong place to look for deals on those. Join the Facebook group “unofficial threea legion buy/sell/trade”. Prices are more fair there, and people often “get out of collecting” and dump their stuff there.

Correct, it is an unlicensed figure by VTS based on the Stallone movie. The actual name is Justice Judge. Xensation Toys also did an unlicensed Stallone Dredd, but I don’t have that one.

Art Figures released some unlicensed Dredd figures from the Karl Urban film. 3A released licensed comic book Dredd figures.

I mean, some of that is due to rarity/scalping no doubt. But some bots were legitimately $200+ to begin with because they're fucking massive. I can tell by the Deimos II Ceasar that you have Portable bots there, since that colorway only came in Portable flavor. If you've never seen them in person, it's genuinely difficult to comprehend just how fucking big and glorious the 1/6 versions are.

It's not even that he couldn't finish what he started, he just took it in the dumbest direction he could. He went full vynil art schlock with kittypillar, and the dozens of disembodied feet statues for his fetish, then for two years pumped out nothing but figures of his wife's self insert character Pascha while completely ignoring the TK and WWR audiences. He's got one TK thing up for order and I think a few 3AGO figs, but it's fucking nothing.

He sunk his own franchise by pandering to nobody but himself and it killed the entire scene, as well as ditching the colorful 1/6th artsy stuff that we'd never gotten till that point. A whole new market for people to enjoy and he just shitcanned it inadvertently.

Guys like Ash are the Ditkos and Kirby's, guy's like me are the Stan Lees and Jim Shooters, you need both to make it work, or you need a fucking super human to do both like some of the manga-ka.

Ash himself is in desperate need of an editor or a structured type to keep him grounded. Kim from Three zero did this for him for a bit, but he stopped, which is a shame because early 3A was incredible.

He could turn it around, the marvel stuff was good, I even got his ultron with red lights. Still wish it was more silver, but you know nothing I can do about it now.

All he'd need to to doa solid year of cheaper releases that are as inspired as the early figs and he'd be back in biz. Fuck I miss old 3A. I got in around the grunts WWR and the penumbra release, still some of my favorite releases.

Realistically, I don't think they're ever gonna recover from this slump. Kim is concentrating on ThreeZero fulltime now, and there's nobody to keep Ash in line or tell him his ideas are bad or that he's running the company into the ground. Even his choices for collaborators lately have been bizarre fits for ThreeA's image. Sure, ThreeA could be resurrected in theory, but it would require Ash to step down from running the show and be managed by someone more capable, which I just don't see happening.

how much would heads and hands go for anyway aftermarket. Good 3a gas mask heads went for like 80 with 45 for regular, hands 10 to 20 depending. With the hands and head alone you could probably get half this figures value on eBay perhaps.

i think that a recognizeable outline is what a lot of futuristic shit lacks. bayformers would be the most obvious example of something where all of its designs blend together a bit too much in its attempt to look "complex".

As for headswaps depends entirely on the joint in the neck, it could be too big or too small for extra heads, if it's too big there's a bunch of easy solutions, but not if it's too small.

This figure looks really good, but I wish they'd pushed the concept further. A ragged older Boba Fett could have been so much more than just a new cloth wrap and skirts and rifle. Could have seen stuff like parts of his armor destroyed and replaced with salvage, a lot more battle damage, significantly different weapon loadouts, a new paintjob for his armor, etc. This just feels a little underwhelming.
