The other Gandalf the Grey is the Balrog Battle figure.
This one having no action feature or internal electronics has more useful articulation than the previous Gandalf figure, but still not quite up to today's standards.
However he is designed to easily take the various poses you see him when fighting the Balrog, so if that's what you where hoping for articulation wise, you're good to go with him.
He does not come with a hat or cape.
He comes with an electronic base that shouts; "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" when you press a button. Runs on replaceable watch batteries.
It was released on a few different card backs, but other than that I don't think there are any variants to it, figure wise.
