this isn't my pic but i found this from when i was a kid. mines in worse condition with scuffing, and the wheels are super lose. the roof is crushed in the same place. not sure how much restoration i can do since the logos are painted on.

i collect only exsisting models, mostly muscle cars, but sometimes i get fictional cars if they are cool enough or based on real car
for example rapid transit - it's fictional but looks like a cool concept muscle car

I'm attempting to repaint a diecast car for the first time, an old Porsche by Corgi. I stripped it by soaking it in acetone. It worked surprisingly well, so I immediately dipped in another one, this time an old Matchbox BMW. However, the acetone did absolutely nothing to that one.
Can anyone tell if this was because of difference in the car paints (because the Corgi feels like a really cheap one whereas the Matchbox seems more expensive, opening doors, metal base etc)? Or did the acetone lose it's properties so quickly? I kept it in a glass jar with a lid on.

I hear they're similar to Kyosho in that they are mostly meant for display because the wheels barely roll. They're pretty expensive too so I'd rather buy the Mini GT brand which are much cheaper but still pretty good and have the wheels actually roll.

For the record I found those stashed at 3pm. The overnight/morning shift that unloads the truck gets off at noon. That's mainly where you'd find the dirty employees. When the store opens there's always collectors and scalpers warming the door. So it can go any direction I guess.

I got an extra datsun the second go around and flipped it on ebay.

I miss the hotwheels datsun 240z rlc edition, and on my local online store there's one person selling it for 83 (if converted to usd) bucks.

I started collecting these in 1:24 but they disappeared from Target and only grab one here and there online. Also collect Tomica Limited Vintage and the 1:24 Fast & Furious (not all cars just my favorites.

Recently picked up my first Kyosho set and I may be hooked.
