>>7480055I was there in 2015 and 16. Prices vary, and from what I've heard it's become more and more about the latest third party stuff. The new convention exclusives always look cool, but honestly take a moment to make sure you're not caught in the hype. I ended up selling a few of mine only a few months after the show once the honeymoon wore off. You'll find the insane stuff too, I saw a boxed non-yellowed Grandus once, and a non-GPS'd Monstructor, but those were at insane prices. But there's good to be found there too, I got a G2 Snarl at a good price one year. Save some of your money for the charity auction, particularly the after-show "let's make a deal" bit. You'll be able to get mainline stuff from the last decade dirt cheap. There's also a good amount of artist's stuff there that you might be into. It's not just the current IDW crowd, either, lots of locals pop in too.
Overall,
>>7480061 is right, know the relaitve prices of things you're interested in (or just pull up your phone while roaming the floor), and think before you buy. As for cash, the hotel has literally one ATM, and while it never ran dry while I was there, that is a risk (dealers are 99% cash-only). If you're coming from outside Canada, get your cash beforehand to avoid potential ATM and/or bank fees.
