>>7480837I dunno. I don't have a stake in either company, but it makes sense. Out of all the pictures I've seen collectors post, Blurr seemed to be one of those figures that a lot of people bit the bullet on and went with the LG version, even when the rest of their collection was just Hasbro releases, and with the hardcore geewun collectors, I think they preferred Takara's cartoon-inspired color schemes to Hasbro's toy-inspired ones. Kup is another example. Even Thew, who is a notoriously cheap collector and almost never opts for Takara releases, ended up going for LG versions of Kup and Blurr. And I think when they went the extra mile and made brand new Targetmaster molds that Hasbro completely ignored, coupled with the piss poor distribution of later waves, it just made more sense to go Takara for a lot of collectors.
Personally, the LG line got me to buy Takara releases almost exclusively. Hasbro hasn't seen much of my money in a while. Not saying this is universal, but it's certainly the case with me. Might not be true, but you'd be an idiot to claim it wouldn't make sense. The LG line was fucking stellar during TR.
