>>7484100That somehow gives me a good feeling. You're one of the better MOC posters out here.
>>7484109It is odd to see the sets on discount so early after the movie came out. I was tempted to even get a few, but I most likely won't until they become even cheaper so I can use them as a source of cheap parts.
>>7484147I like it as well. I really enjoy finding out about how others go through this process. This sounds a lot like what I do, except I haven't been yet capable of doing any transforming builds.
>>7484149Same here with some MOCs - I usually take a good look at the official sets of a theme in order to get a good "feel" for what would be acceptable in my MOC. Sometimes I disregard the general aesthetics and build anyway, but most times I try to stay within the boundaries of "what could have been done by Lego in this theme".
>>7484247The only issue with this process is that limited parts can be a pain, as I've often found out.
>>7484425I like that build. Why don't you post more?
Also on the note of "never move on to the next part until I'm done with the current one" - I can't do that. Sometimes I just scrap entire sections/ideas.
>>7484976Are you tricking me? You better not be!
>>7485117I agree with you except for the "prop build" - I've never done a build just to have it as a prop. I either build something I'm happy with and enjoy or I scrap it.
I often re-visit older builds and update/improve them. That's happened quite often recently since my skills have improved greatly ever since I got back into this.
>>7487739I've had a few pilot-driven MOCs. And yes, I have to say it - a LOT of what's posted here has inspired me, with some designs being very similar to what I've seen people here post. Especially the very good space poster. He makes the coolest things.
