I'm asking "Is this something a toy designer just decided to do, or was it part of the original designs that never made it into the media?"
That sales blurb doesn't clear this up.
For the record, for those that don't know, Miyazaki made the manga after the film. He expanded on the film's ideas to flesh it out more.
I just wonder if this is some liberty a toy designer took, or something Miyazaki cooked up, but never realized in the film or manga. It's not a complicated thing.
