>>7523877>Since when does a store under-order wave one of a new line? When a company isn't sure how popular a thing is, they under order.
See GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra and how wave 1 all but disappeared from shelves. Wave 2 shelf warmed because stores overordered based on wave 1's success and unpopular designs stopped future waves from appearing almost everywhere. Rare as shit to see anything past wave 3, because it wasn't ordered as heavily as 2.
So a lot of the later figures commanded high prices in the scalper market almost right away and their prices only increased.
Thankfully, Hasbro did re-releases for SOME figures to meet demand and lower prices.
>won't be on store shelves at least until the Christmas refresh in August. All depends on how the waves are set up. Hasbro used to do 6-8 waves a year.
Right now we know next to nothing about future waves, so who knows how they're set up to ship the line.
Either way, you can't deny how popular the Overwatch line is right now, given the amount of posting there has been for the toyline and youtubers posting it.
and I live in one of the largest metro areas in the world and shop at over a dozen stores a week as part of my hunt for stuff, so i think my anecdotal experience is more relevant than yours.
