It's the Desert Scorpion, it shares its codename with a trooper which is a fantastic sculpt too. It came out in 1993 I think. The one with out stickers on the hood is the one I had since I was a kid, the other better preserved one I recently aquired.

I wrote an email to marauders. Vietnam KS is postponned until next year because of the launching of the WW2 figures.

I wonder what is their process to decide when and what to launch?. Like how do they gauge interest and are they taking into account the periods when people have money or is it all random dates? Because it seems the later.

Also to me it's a bit odd they announced Vietnam after their succesful WW2 KS, when they are doing early war germans at most and some allies, there's lots of fabric from where to cut with WW2 regarding figures, with germans alone you could launch 5-6 figures every six months.

And what do you think about their bussiness model of keeping early stuff still in stock? They told me everything out of stock currently is on a re-order status with the factories. I mean you can still find their series one weapons together with the new stuff, that doesn't seems sustainable to me (keep paying for ancient molds when the demand probably isn't the same as when they were launched) but I'm glad they do this because I can prioritize and order what I want most knowing the other stuff will be there for when I order next. Except the akm's god damn it. Yeah I'm the akm guy.

They said they would be doing a 2nd WW2 KS after the first one so it makes sense the NAM one would launch next year.

Im a big fan of several of their older series weapons. The Ak74 is my favorite cobra trooper assault rifle.

The Palisades bust was as close as we got.
Both the Sideshow and PCS executions look like everyone's white trash metal head aunt.
But yeah, I was able to get a stiffy from the Palisades bust (had a nice ass, too).

My least favorites are:
Dragon harvester - the face kills it for me. She does have a masked head alt head but if you want the head with the helmet you will need to deal with that horrible face.
Female Drow - no real unique parts for her. She is just blah. She does come with 2 nice heads though.
Gargoyle - well its not that its bad its just well a stone gargoyle. Kinda boring. A tail would of made it better. Also they have 2 heads. Both are scary / ugly. They should of made the alt head a sexy/demonic female to contrast the primary head.

If you don't mind doing some work then that Sand Stone blank and that one Gorgon Sister from series 1 have pretty much the same skin tone. The Hispanic heads from Marauders also match pretty close. Naturally you'll need to paint the eyes for the blank heads, or do some mod work for the Marauder heads to work with the neck and joint.

Just the heads I think are unique so far. At leas the main one with the white hair. Everything else has been reused or from before, I think the Crossbow, bolts and quiver were unique to that figure initially.

An orc is also a good starting figure, plenty of options and you can't go wrong with a good army builder like that.

I like the autumn elf better but yes the asp elf is just as good with the alt head. The main head is odd and doesnt really go with the elf aesthetic. It looks more like a gnome or halfling.

Just threw together another $40 cart for MGR stuff. Waiting for payday tomorrow to pull the trigger. Before I do that, though, way back when I got my first ones, I was using a hair dryer to soften up the elbow peg hole to swap in rolled up sleeves and I guess I over cooked the figure so now his left leg won't peg onto the hip properly. Fortnite Omega is underwhelming. I want my money back. I've bought better Playmates toys for a third of the price. I regret I didn't get Carbide instead, because at least he is shiny and looks more buff.
My biggest issues are the stiffness of the shoulders, the flimsiness of the ankles and the legs not "coordinating". They look like one is more bent than the other. Is it possible to take Fortnite figures apart without damaging them? Would smoothing ratchet joints make them useless or would they function like friction joints?

A lot of people here have said they're great. I don't like fortnite and I don't really care for the slightly cartoony proportions. Cap it off with a 20 dollar price tag for Omega who looks half way decent and the whole line is a hard pass from me.

Even though I like Omega's design, he is one of my least favorite due to his limited arm articulation. Same goes for Carbide and Raven.
Best figures from wave 1 IMHO are:
Cuddles, Rex, Rust Lord, and Jonesy
Getting the 4 pack gets you 2 of the best figures plus Brite Bomber who is really nice to have as well. The 4 pack comes with guns too. So thats 10 bucks per figure. Great deal.

I guess they license them. Click n play might be amazon's own 'brand' and world heroes is the first time I hear of them. But the molds are the same and they are made by M&C toys. Marauders sells individual stuff from them like crates and lockers etc that still have the M&C logo.

They don't even need a new mold, several customizers used 25th Buzzer heads repainteed with a mustache to make it, but Hasbr's probably too cheap, lazy, weak & stupid to go to that much effort to retool it slightly. There was even a 1:6 custom with a removable hood and the face under, but $200 Sideshow figures can't be bothered for that detail or even just a spare head since they're $30 toys with a geek tax markup.

Hasbro's old 1992 12" or the space suit figure don't count since they didn't have the correct face. Is this asking far too much of Hasbro for the next CC to have the unmasked head? Are they somehow afraid of pissing off sensitive manchildren by having a terrorist leader be a white male or something? They're pretty SJW so I don't see why but offending people who would get upset over it might costs a whopping $12 in revenue so they will chicken out on that.

I built my first Joe-C today. Great White grew up in coastal Massachusetts, spending much of his time in the frigid North Atlantic, and was a Navy Seal before joining the Joes. The original Robotix pilot figures were really cool, I thought. I loved how each one was a little different. I also love how there was basically no lore included with the sets so it fueled your own imagination as to what the robots were and who the figures were.
The horrid fucking cartoon was utter shit, though. I couldn't watch it as a kid. It would ruin the joy I got from playing with the sets.

The helmets and heads are molded solid with the torso, however the visors actually do flip up, and some are even smoked (depends on the color scheme of the figure, not the mold). The figures were very slightly larger than original 3-1/4 Joes so you may be able to cut them off and hollow them out?

They're all pretty solid, especially for ten bucks, but she's probably my favorite of the 4 or so I have. The coat and other stuff on her shoulders basically don't get in the way at all.

I'm not confident enough to make grime/weathering to make it look good. I fear I may just ruin it by applying black smudge everywhere. I might apply decals to the ATM or repaint it.

My plan is to recast the ATM for use in other projects. I can then paint that however I like.

Got the Flak Bike but for those who weren’t aware, Acid Rain guys are changing due to partnering with a new manufacturer.

Nothing big but the point is to make the figures themselves more modular. Not sure how they weren’t already but what’s important to note here is that they aren’t compatible with the previous figures. The pegs are all the wrong size.

The bike is tricky to transform even with the instructions. It’s the most complicated to transform— not by much but enough to be noticeable.

Not sure what you mean about the poisonous feeling paint.

To the touch, it feels exactly like their other mechs in the line including the Stronghold which is what I think you’re referring to.

Yeah I got mine today. I just feel like I need to wash my hands after touching it before I touch my face. I've never transformed my Fortress because it also feels very stuck. Same with the bike. Would a hair dryer work for loosening it up?

That’s just the texture. Matte paint with textured splatter weathering. The old mechs had a hole in the box so you could feel it —- kind of a marketing point to sell “the war under pollution.”

You may just be squirmy about certain textures, my wife’s like that too.

I Sent them an email like a week ago. They said everything out of stock is on a re-stock status but that they are focusing on the kick starter now and that has priority.

I've wanted some AKM rifles since last summer when they were gone and they are still out of stock.
