DF Jeice is a really nice display piece. Just limited as far as posability.

The QC is much better than Ginyu's and i'd even say Kaioken Goku as far as paint and production.

It's a step in the right direction, so hoping we get to a point where they nail the hips with later figures!

Every single time I see a Dragon Stars I think about how much I would have loved them as a kid. The figures from back in the day were absolutely horrid and shitty, I never cared about them despite my love for Dragon Ball and action figures. Those go beyond serviceable for a children's toy line.

Honestly if they had ab crunches and better faces/ankle articulation, I would buy every single one. They’re miles away better than the old Irwin toys in terms of both articulation and character selection.

I agree with them needing more consistent ankles. They also changed the hips and knees and the legs overall have suffered a ton since the change from wave 1. At least the sculpts are improving somewhat. Happy to have gotten a good frieza and cell out of this

Got my jeice in. He is pretty decent compared to ginyu. He has nice and tight joints. The shoulder pads are still terrible.

With the ab joint he can do a decent crouch. Also something to note the feet do not move very much so getting him to have his feet flat on his pose it won't happen. If you haven't got the ginyu then this is an easy pass. He is way better than what we got in ginyu. If you have the ginyu or just like jeice sure pick it up.

You can actually see problems in the figures though. SS3 1.0 never looked good, neither did a whole bunch. If you can notice an issue, then chances are it will be worse in the future, and as ugly as 2.0 hips look, at least they work and the figures look accurate, just with cuts. They'll still look good, just things will come along and look better.

why don't the dbz figs use ankles similar to the kinnikuman line?

I've got a kinnikuman and his balances and range of movement is fantastic.

the ball peg things that the dbz line uses is goofy as fuck in comparison. looks like they used kinnikuman ankles on the net though so why not continue with it

Its not great hell like I said if you're not into it for the character its an easy pass mate. I admit it isnt for everyone and they are in no way perfect. I honestly dont like the price rates these guys are putting these out at. they are not worth it for most of these price points.

I remember the Gogeta from this series, which was base form for some reason (don't remember if they did a SS variant or not) and even as a kid I thought the hair and face didn't look anything like Gogeta, so I didn't get him despite the fact that I really wanted a Gogeta because he was my favorite character at the time.

I thought that as well, but they are just tight. I managed to get mine in. Just needs to be pushed in.

They definitely heard the feedback after Ginyu and have gone all out with the tightness on this one. Seems too tight in some places, like the waist and ab swivel, but gentle work and it loosens up eventually.

I still don't get this disdain for 3rd party figures. What do you expect? Bandai is a $400M company and aren't able to get Gotenks the right size or provide the correct face for Majin Vegeta.

In comparison, these Chinese guys are working on a fraction of the budget and still able to provide accurate, articulated figures.

I'd rather give my money to DF just for effort.

That's correct. I think they were trying to gauge whether there was still interest after Super and whether they should go back to it. I get the feeling that when some of these characters drop from the survey it means there wasn't enough votes.

I don't like seamless figures and that's where they're going. Figures like 2.0 Goku, SS Kamen Riders, and recent Monsterarts show they're leveling off and need to find gimmicks.

Monsterarts experimented with lights and sounds and it was a failure. Same for combining gimmicks which also bombed.

I'm not saying we won't see a better Goku or Kamen Rider at some point, but these will have a decent shelf life. Probably much better than what the 1.0s had.

Something like the Ichiban Kuji proportions would be fine to me (perhaps with a little bit more scaled down hands). Of course the Goku that we see in this picture must be perceived as an indicator of a classic SHF size.

Otherwise remember that Bandai teased us the "Dramatic Scale" with a new articulated and pretty well proportionned version of Shenron a few weeks ago.

Since it can't be helped that they made Nappa too short (at 175mm) then I suppose they could make both Daimao and Piccolo 2.0 180mm. That is the height of Fat Buu after all.

The standard Shenron comes with a set of golden dragon balls that are removable, but all one piece. This one will likely have something similar, but I'd bet the individual dragon balls that come with the figures will fit in there perfectly.

Wow! First other vote for Dabura. That kinda makes me sad that he's not more popular.

Excited to see so much love for Zarbon though!! Maybe we'll see him next year alongside a First Form Frieza! That would be an epic double reveal.

Final Form Cooler is a pretty obvious choice and it surprises me that it's still on the list, especially when we are getting a ZERO. He must have had enough votes by now. Personally i'd prefer the Fourth Form in the pod to display along side DF Salza.

So on the tip top those are stragglers who need homes on the shelf, and I'm filling in below it.

None of the poses are final, so I would appreciate ideas on displays and not hand placement nitpicking.

I don't have enough room for dedicated saga shelves, but I don't really like multiples of one character on one shelf.

Already swapped some things around. Frieza cannot stay there he looks terrible. But I don't want him fighting Awakening bc I like Awakening fighting Vegeta. I'd love an idea for his oalcement (he doesn't even have to stay on that shelf)

Yeah, mine came in on Friday too, and I gotta say I've never been happier with a figure. I didn't expect him to be so dang huge, even though in the show he towers over other characters pretty comfortably, even Piccolo, but they really did great. My ONLY issue is that I wish they had given me another extra head for him instead of including one for Majin Buu, a figure that I don't own and don't plan on buying.
Anyway, I'm gonna start offering sacrifices once a week hoping that they'll make figures of his Gotenks and Gohan absorbed forms. Since they've kind of been doing character announcements for Z in pairs (Majin Buu+Satan, Gotenks+Super Buu), I'm hoping they'll announce Gohan+Gotenks Buu and then Vegeto+Gohan Buu.

For a little while up until around this time last year, releases were selling out before they could hit Barnes and Noble, or getting spotty distribution at them. Goku Black is the biggest example, and I don't remember a couple others like Nappa, SS3 Goku, or SSG Goku ever hitting the website(though I recall seeing some of them in stores.)
