Has anyone else tried building one of these before? When I was around 10-11 me and my dad built the Hoth one for my Star Wars toys, I've been trying to find pictures of it but it was an amazing playset.

Can't tell from the filesize. Is it a polystyrene diorama.

I remember this sort of thing being made on Blue Peter but only even did it for model railways when I was older.

No plans. I just built it. All wood construction. Make one building. Make another building. Repeat 20 more times and then fill in the gaps with landing platforms, catwalks, staircases etc.

Yo, is that really you? I had no idea you posted here. Thanks. I'm coming at this from a wargaming perspective, so my idea of what's good is smaller in scale and a bit more robust, but that is some seriously good shit for inspiration.

I get a lot of great ideas from gaming miniatures. I try to flesh out environments for 1:18 figures so it’s a bit more playset than a look-don’t-touch diorama. I like the idea of a dollhouse, Blade Runner and Star Wars having an orgy baby.

I mostly collect 1:12th now but 1:18th is the only scale you could feasibly do this in I guess.
