Compared to that, the 85 manages to marry the robust design of old suits with the aesthetics of the modern suits by using solid shapes and plating. As an aside, the 85 number designation is a tribute/reference to the comic debut of the original red-gold suit in 1985.
Overall, the Mark 50 did more fancy fighting but I'd argue that the 85 has a more distinct look and feel.
