Do you ever get nervous handling your figures in fear of them breaking? I'll never get over this fear due my childhood.

Only with figures that have known issues. Dinotits McGee here has ankles that can stiffen over time and just snap apparently.

If I ever break a super expensive figure I just buy a new one on eBay and claim it showed up broke. Get a refund, keep the new one, send back the broke one. Sometimes they even let you keep the broken one so you can do it again in a few months

That's actually super common. They made the joints out of acrylic or something and they got ridiculously fragile with age to the point of resembling Gold Plastic Syndrome.

What's funny is that I'm usually careful with domestic figures, especially since I always heat up the joints even if it doesn't feel like they need it, and Black Knight always break for me. Took three times where it broke in the exact same spot before I gave up on it. Kinda sad since that's the best figure from the Cull Obsidian wave.

I heard about that before I purchase her and put some dish soap in the joints to help with that. I'm starting to see why FansProject went up though. Her and the other dinobots had their own issues that weren't fixed with re-releases

Yeah the Rockin Action line is notorious for breaking. Oddly enough, all the ones I've had break on me were ones I bought new in the box. I have a few figures that I bought preowned that have no issues with broken joints. Not sure what process is going on, but it seems keeping these guys in their boxes makes the joints more brittle or something. Another reason why keeping your toys MISB is a dumb idea.

When I was a kid I wanted Beta Ray Bill Legends forever, and it was the first time I ordered anything off the internet. Right out of the package his leg snaps off from the t-joint, and it was horrible. That figure seemed amazing too.

Only with Neca, Hasbro, and Mattel "highly detailed" 6 inch figures. You're gambling when you try to work a joint loose, the last time was a WWE basic figure, one leg was frozen in place, so I tried to wiggle it back and forth, and thought I loosened it, and it fell right off because I'd twisted the joint in two like taffy.
