For me it's when I buy a hero figure, it bothers me to have them alone so I need a villain for the hero.
Also I guess the JoJo figures are my most autistic figures, because I can't just buy a character without the stand figure as well, and then he also needs the villain with their stand, it becomes expensive so I don't even bother at that point.

Not much of a story, but I bought a Hasbro MP Rodimus prime for like $30 or something off the BST. It was cheap. The thing came in the mail, when I opened it the figure REAKED of pizza, pepperoni I think, and had greasy gross smudges all over it head to toe and dust in its nooks and crannies. It was old pizza grease in some places too, since it was like crusty/dryish. It was fucking gross man. Took me like an hour to get the figure clean.

When I worked at B&N we always got weirdos pawing through the Pops in the clearance bins. I remember ringing up this one couple who grabbed like a dozen of them including some doubles. I fumbled one as I was scanning it and it fell half an inch onto the rubber mat on the counter. The guy sent his wife back to grab a new one from the bin to replace it. Then they insisted on carefully bagging everything themselves in their own bags.

Keep in mind we had stacks of these in the clearance bins because they're common ones nobody wants and people are constantly grabbing and moving them so they are far from mint condition.

I used to work at Target in norcal, and we had tons of people who did this every day. Usually Hispanics and Asians. They would wait outside the doors, and practically run people down rushing in the store the instant the doors were unlocked.

Some of them were the usual scalpers who race back to the toy section to grab hot wheels or whatever was new or exclusive. Some of them were career resellers who would grab a cart or two and fill it with whatever was on clearance on the endcaps, didn't matter what it was, if it was cheap they would buy it, presumably to sell on amazon or ebay or craigslist. They were always on their phones, coordinating with their comrades at the other stores and comparing notes.

It's bad enough Funko is too cheap to even use 1" of tape on the boxes so they're not sealed to begin with, worse because they will be worthless in a few years(most are now) and will sell like shit because the postage costs will be higher than the toy is worth(as most 90s toys suffer from, thanks to USPS a worthless item costs $8-$10 on eBay due to shipping expenses) but doubling your initial price just for an extra box is fucking stupid.

I've seen a few I want- I've even bought some on clearance- however I can never seem to justify the eBay expense to buy any and the ones I did buy were given away out of boredom. They're not really interesting and more often than not I can buy a proper action figure of the character for the same amount.

Pretty much this. Like I wanted a Looney Tunes Pop that was a B&N exclusive or something but asked someone to pick it up for me since I was unable to go. Long story short, they wound up flipping the 4 they bought for like twice the price. And I refuse to pay 30ish for a 3" chunk of hollow vinyl when I could use that for POing a SHF or something else.

I'm fairly certain most eBay toy shoppers have severe autism. You can list a toy several dollars cheaper than any other listing, and these fucknuggets will add it to their watch list but still not but it, or do their best to try to haggle $1-$3 off an item that's $10 shipped. First off, it's already the cheapest listing, so you probably don't want it if you didn't snag it on sight. Second, if you're so hard up you have to think about or haggle on a toy that is $7-$10 shipped then you need to get off eBay because you don't have the money for toys.

I've taken to raising prices on items with at least one watcher for several days by $2, and the fuckers always unwatch. Fuck em, they weren't going to buy it in the first place.

eBay even eliminated time limits on BIN and forced everything GTC, their excuse being "the longer it's listed the more watchers it will gain." FUCK WATCHERS, I want paying customers, not window shoppers. This is why I don't watch items myself- if I don't have shopping money I don't browse eBay nor do I expect an item to sit for a week with no one else buying it solely because I watched it.

nah, it's rare that watchers will actually buy stuff, it's a pointless "feature" that doens't need to exist when browsers have a bookmark ability and more often than not items will sit with 1 or more watchers for 1-2 weeks. They don't want it. If they wanted it they'd buy it, not "think about it". This shit's not being held for them, anyone can buy it at any time, and if they miss it it's their own fault.

Frankly eBay seems to be doing thei rbest to fuck sellers over, at the expense of their own income. They want us to drop prices massively to the point private sellers listing their belongings can not compete with China sellers or large businesses. I can not do $4 & free shipping on an item when shipping alone is near that from my end. Then they encourage watchers over buyers so things don't sell like they should and I do believe some site users actually think watching an item prevents others from buying it, because the internet is really full of morons these days.

I get super autistic about my $20 plastic crack.

I will stand at the store and compare every figure on the shelf to get the one that has the best paint. Crooked tampo printings and walleyes ruin a toy for me. I'll even buy multiples if I can assemble one good toy and return the messed up parts as defective. if even one part is slightly wrong I can't stop thinking about it. I have bought as many as 4 of the same transformer just to make one "good" figure out of them.

I'll even do it with expensive toys like con exclusives. I will buy 2 or 3 $100 repaints of $20 figures just to cherry pick the best one.

I have a sickness in my head parts.

Scenario #2 is that he was stealing them, and he needed guy #2 to distract while he pretended to scan them all at the self checkout, when he’s actually scanning only one or two. Problem here is that Target has weight sensors in the bagging area, and cameras that can see pretty much everything you’re doing from multiple angles.

I’m not saying Walmart is infinitely easier to steal from than Target because I’ve never stolen stuff, but it would definitely be easier given the employees care less, the cameras are shit usually, and people generally don’t pay attention to you. Target is more anal about it and for good reason.

I'm inclined to believe it's actually this. The Target here is very anal about enforcing item limits, so maybe that's a roundabout to get like 6-10 without driving to another store. Of course ppl are stupid too and don't know how intense their asset protection is.

three stories all including reptiles/dinosaurs:

Story 1: I always threw away ALL the capture gear when i got new TLW dinos back in 1997/1998. On purpose, because i thought it was "cruel" for the toys. to my surprise i found almost all of it last year in a box in the cellar. i dont know who rescued it from the trash und put it there, but im very grateful. now most of my dinos are complete again.

Story 2. i sometimes removed the crests of pteranodon and the sails of dimetrodon toys with a scissor. the goal was to turn the dimetrodon into boring generic lizards (funfact: i had ACTUAL and GOOD LOOKING lizard toys at that time, thank god i have the Papo Dimetrodon nowadays) and the pteranodon into pterosaurs without crests like pterodactylus etc.
definitely toy cruelty, but the victims were mostly just "chinasaurs" i had twice EXCEPT a dinoriders pteranodon that got the same treatment and that definitely is the one i regret most. i even softened his crest by heating it with a goddamn gasoline lighter so the scissors could cut it. Funfact: i just found out that years that there exists a version of the very same pteranodon WITHOUT a crest at all. WTF, now i have this toy.

Story 3:

Last but not least, the most cringey story of all.

When i was really small i had pic related frilled lizard. i loved that goddman thing.
1999 aired some gay ass cartoonshow based on a actual good childrens- book in german television, "Jim Button and Luke the Engine Driver" i watched it out of pure boredom, didnt even like it that much because i liked the book/puppet show better. some crucial point in the story was, that the antagonist dragon, "Mrs. Grindtooth" was turning into a "golden dragon of wisdom" after the main characters defeated her. to make things short, for some reason i cut the frill off with the same damn scissor i tortured the dimetrodon/pteranodon years ago and painted the lizard with golden Revell Model Kit paint to have a own "golden dragon of wisdom". Terrible.

Honestly JoJo is one of those properties I do not think many companies can pull off, including Japanese companies. For all the massive improvements McFarlane has gone through in the past year for articulation, he still would not handle JoJo well.

I actually did something similar to my JP dimetrodon. Had two of them so no problem removing the sail of one after seeing some joke thing on some TV show where they had 'iguana soup' and the dimetrodon they used as the iguana was the same JP one I had.

Thinking on it, think it was some sort of stupid song, and the mouth of the toy moved while in the soup to say the words "iguana soup".
