>>7563290yeah, you'er fucking dumb and have no clue what you're talking about.
I posted an extreme close up of a toy's face. None of the photos here are as close up as the one i posted in the other thread.
The little tiny dots all over the face aren't even visible to the naked eye from a foot away. They're tini-tiny, yet they're effective at producing a matte-ish looking effect to the face like real skin.
All you really see on the figure's eyes is that they're a dark blue color and with a little bit of twinkling thanks to the highlights, from a foot away.
The eyebrows are darker in the center and they start fading away at the edges, because that's the effect of how these low res prints work. And this is exactly the problem.
On the Figuarts, the entire face is made up of fading eyebrows, including Harry Potter's eyeglasses. You may not be able to count the little dots, but you sure as fuck notice how fuzzy the paint apps look.
So if anything, the dots on Figuarts actually look larger because of the bare plastic showing underneath making them more obvious.
This technology is older than you think and i have not seen any improvements in the dpi since they started using it, which you can see here on a GI Joe's money stacks from 2011.
