I remember his panel at TFN2018 had him discussing the scrapped ideas, and most of what was lost was subplots, albeit there were gaps that would've been filled had the comic been allowed to run its course.
I still enjoyed what we got, warts and all. Didn't like Anode much because she as just generally annoying, but most of the characters stayed likeable throughout. Most of them.
I hope IDW1's portrayal of Whirl becomes the norm for him now. Not like he was that interesting beforehand, but MTMTE made him a favourite of mine.
