I didnt get how they could be so empty 10 out of the 12 months and stay alive.There are always birthday parties, bikes, video games, etc. Years ago, they always seemed like they had a lot of people coming in, but they also seemed like they had actual product on the shelves.
As a kid, I remember going in and seeing toys cascading off the shelves. Like, peg after peg after peg filled with the stuff I was into; GI Joe, TMNT, Ghostbusters, etc. etc.
The state of TRU was just woeful, and it sure didn't help that a lot of the stuff on the shelves seemed like novelty items more than actual toys.
That said, few retailers actually start seeing yearly profits until October or November anyway, never mind just TRU.
