>>7590696Not buying it unless we get some news that they'll fix it via patches. I get that Pokemon isn't just the games and they HAVE to make that November deadline, so I can sympathize with corporate tying their hands over this.
But this is 20-goddamn-19. You can continue working on a game after it's released. Smash Ultimate got a Stage Builder added back in April. There's literally no excuse for them not to make adding all 800+ Pokemon into the game a priority, "technical issues" be damned. The Switch isn't exactly a powerhouse, but it can run Breath of the Wild in handheld mode, it can handle upscaled 3DS renders.
SwSh is going to cost more than any mainline Pokemon title to date, $20 more than the last entries, since it's technically a home console release. So they're asking me to pay even more money for a game that has markedly less content than Sun and Moon, and I'm not going to do that.
Might get it used or just pirate it, but GF isn't getting my money unless they do right by their consumer base. Devs get away with a lot of scummy shit thanks to mindless drones just consuming whatever thing they recognize; if you're saying "eh it doesn't bother me, you're gonna buy it anyway", you're a clown who will continue being taken advantage of.
