I can understand comparing ML with DC Essentials or recent Mcfarlane figures. Comparing Revoltechs with figma, Mafex, maybe Sentinel stuff (SHFs would be a bit unfair as they operate at a much higher level as a company). But crossing that market/price point line is really meaningless. The benefits of the two toylines are completely different so you can't argue which is "better."
I'm not entirely sure if the factor of "other countries making Western(or NA) IP toys in high quality" plays any part in this, maybe it does to some.
I think a lot of it has to do with that arrogance of stereotypical comic book readers, just because I don't see it that much with other subject matters, but maybe I missed them.
