For the life of me I cannot remember the toys that included this tool. There were three different sets of diecast cars that could be transformed into different vehicles by using the tool to swap out the parts, I couldn't find anything about this on the wiki.

M2 are the worst for rattling imo.
As for wheel rub, I haven't seen too much of that in any brand. I have a Super TH Cruella Devile that was riveted wrong on the back end, causing the base to be crushed up into the body. It bent the axle and one wheel is mashed against the fender. But that's one error, not really common.

The only reason I was able to find that defect super was because the local scalpers left it in the dump bin because they had already gotten the others and probably couldn't sell it. Whatever though I'll take it

I got this in the mail earlier, these Japanese Tomica (from Tomy) cars are pretty cool. rubber tires, suspension, they're insanely detailed. for some reason I like the ones that are just kinda lame, there's a ton of car models from Nissan, Mistubishi, etc., that never made it over here. I mean they do other stuff but these are like from an alternate universe or something to me

I've seen reports different places and on ebay that Walmarts are getting a 72 count case of Sam Walton's F-150. Some places already have them out so be on the look out if you want one, they're regularly priced.

There's just one toy I want to have to play with and I don't have it yet, so I don't really have an urge to open my cars. Hey fellas I was in the baking aisle at Sobeys (grocery store) and I found this guy and a few other matchbox hanging from a shelf on a tiny display. I love cars like probably all of you do, and I stopped and looked at it and you know what I really liked it. My girlfriend laughed and said "you're not going to buy that" and you said, you know I just might. And I did. ...
And it's been sitting in my desk and you know what I think I'd like to collect a few of these. Money is tight but this guy was around 5 bucks so it's a hobby I could partake in even while still in debt......
So how do I know if a hotwheel or matchbox is rare or "collectable"? I'm not a huge faggot I will buy whatever I like but I'd really like to pick up something a little special.
And what do you guys think of pic related's era of SUV's and trucks? I love them. Back when SUV's and trucks were work horses. The box says this one is an '89. Maybe that's a little late for my "golden era" (I don't know American cars earlier than the 80s) but you can tell this vehicle was a utilitarian family and trailer hauler and not a lifted luxo-barge.
So let me know how to tell if a car on the shelf is collectable and what you think of this era of SUV's okay? I might try going to a Walmart because they only had 6 cars for sale at the grocery store I got this one from.

You buy 2 of the ones you want to open. They're only 97cents each anon, you can afford to buy 5 at a time unlike other collectibles. Now premiums get a little tricky. I usually get and exacto and cut 3 sides of the bubble next to the card that way I can still store it later.

Angle the blade so it lies flat on the card and cut around the raised part of the Plastic Bubble Packaging. So the bubble can swing off sort of like a hinge and if you want you can take the car out and put it back in later for storage. It's basically the third option compared to sealed collecting and open collecting.

In case you're wondering about the Viper collection. Yes, these cars aren't in the best colors, but I once had better-looking snakes (the blue/white Viper SRT-10, the red/black ACR, and the dark red/silver GTS-R which I lost it). One's a Maisto model but that's a bonus.

The only shame about the GTS model is that the wheels aren't Real Riders, but all plastic.

In this race, weight seems to be triumphing over everything else. Eevil weevil is doing surprisingly good and so is the pickup beetle. Elsa-car has been the most surprisingly good one of the bunch though, would not have expected it to make so far

formula anon here again

so I've searched all the databases, internet hobby shops and chinese image sites to search for 1:64 formulas. Started with hot-wheels, which my search originates from.
The benchmark is the "GP 2009" chassis. The 00's McDonalds Formula 1 promotion produced McLaren, Williams, Jordan & Jaguar formulas, mcdonald branded gp2009. Then there is a standalone branded Ferrari, Williams, Jaguar, Stewart F1, then Stock white one with orange flame stickers, stock blue with white stickers, stock blue/purple without livery and yellow floor, red stock with blue floor.
Then there's standalone chasis Alonso Renault 2006 branded, then 2009 renault, ferrari, mclaren, williams (all own chasis). Then there's indicar chasis gulf formula, blue indy with orange skirts and a green one, different chassis. Futuristic, capeshit movie brands and the like need not apply.

Now I'm looking for other brands. Anyone has ANY formula/open wheel 1:64? Where do I look? Which brand has any?

People are doing it intentionally because of scalpers. We have a major issue with them here. They trash the car sections, dump cases, take all the Super T-Hunts and JDM cars and leave a mess to clean up. So workers and collectors are bending the cards on the higher end cars so scalpers can't sell them as mint.

Well I guess I can do a wheel swap eventually on it and make it a custom stingray, but first I need to order the drill tap and such online because metric sizes don't go small enough for hot wheels customizing, even when looking all over europe, everything is out of stock or does not exist. Neither are there any screws, or any tools I would need really. So that's about an 3 week wait to even think about doing that if I order some.

Anyone else noticed how multi-packs have even less quality control than single packed cars?

Feel like I had a pretty good haul from the flea market. The Dumpin' A and Stagefright aren't my favorites but they are in beautiful condition. The Simpsons road trip, Mars Rover, and Wienermobile have been on my wishlist for years and I had one of that Bugatti as a kid but lost it ages ago so I'm glad to have another.

And the Subaru Impreza was the best car out of that bunch, took me by surprise but in hindsight it should have been pretty obvious, it's got enough mass yet also rolls nicely

Other cars who are worth mentioning, the Honda cr-x was a surprisingly good little thing for it's size and relatively light weight, and the fantasy car Power Rocket made it surprisingly far, as in the championship was between it and the subaru
