>>7567235>Do you see somebody post a picture just for the fun of it without hashtags and think, "this fucktard can't photograph shit"? No. I just ignore and move on. Its like window shopping, I browse until I see an interesting thumbnail and click to see the full picture, give it a like and/or comment if I really dig it and take a peek at the rest of the profile to see if there's more stuff that I might like. If there is, I'll give it a follow.
I'm personally looking for the best stuff out there for my feed for the entertainment value but also the occasional inspiration.
If it wasn't obvious I take this kinda seriously because it's my hobby, my craft, and my de-stresser from corporate America which I try my best to put actual effort into and seek those who have clearly done the same.
Please don't misconstrue this as me thinking that all I value are the Van Goghs when a really great doodle will do just as much but I think I'm at least alright so I tend to look for things at least as good as mine but preferably better because I'm always trying to see what I can learn from others.
That said, what I'm gathering from you in this thread (which I'm half sure you started) as well in the photo thread
>>7562008 is that you're frustrated that more people aren't appreciating your stuff, which I totally get. That's a good thing, it means you care, but there's no shortcut to it.
Post in the photo thread for the kek of it by all means, but don't blame IG for a lack of likes/traction/exposure/followers if you're treating it as an afterthought.
If you wanna shoot and post for fun, more power to you, but if you're not doing anything people will find interesting and unwilling to put in the work and effort into getting better then there's no reason anyone should care more about your work than you do and even less reason for you to sound resentful.
