I'm not THAT big into joyride, but I can appreciate the nice retro feel. It does capture the essence and silhouette of CE master chief even though it's not 100% game accurate.

I was crazy for them as a kid. Couldn't believe they were figures of such a "violent" and "mature" game. They were pretty detailed and quality made. Seeing something you only have seen in a video game become real and be able to touch them was a surreal experience. This was before McFarlane and NECA started doing figures, they were better and thus Joyride disappeared but the Joy they bring to me was not matched even when i never owned one of them.

Both those companies have dogshit QC. Owned several NECA and McFarlane toys that were broken immediately out of box. Joyride figures feel sturdy and solid. You don't ever feel like a joint is just going to shear off an elbow because it's made from cheap gummy plastic.

Joyride had better qc overall but you gotta be careful with the wrists and feet, especially if you've had the figures for many years. Mainly talking about the halo 2 spartans here. Take good care of them if you have em.

Just drill a hole in the wrist and the hand, throw in a rod of metal or plastic and just slide it in. Since it's only a swivel joint that's all you need to do.
