Have you tried modeling something similar and then printing it yourself? There are libraries that have 3D printers; some of them even offer their services for free. Down here in San Diego, our central library has an 3d printing lab for which you only need to bring in an STL file and the attendants handle the rest. Check if your city has a similar service.

I've actually drawn out some plans for a model, but up until now I've only known about shapeways, which is costly. I might look around my local area and see if there's a local 3D printing service.

If you play your cards right and look for deals it can be about half that. Nippon Yassan had a free shipping deal a month or two ago, so the Megazord and Titanus could've been had for $200 and $250. The Dragonzord can be found as cheap as $140. ITs still expensive but you can budget and hunt anon, I believe in you.
