We all have them, some resell, some like to display in packaging, some are hoarders and others just don't have display space. I have a few, but these 2 HNK ones I've treasured for over a decade simply because I've always wanted the perfect display for them, like a large, well light glass diorama case. What figures do you still have boxed that you're saving opening them for that "special occasion"?

>>7577617 I have several DC Collectibles figures MISB but that's because 1) they're autographed and 2) they look just as good in the package as they would outside of it. I also have two Power Rangers figuarts MISB but they are signed by the actors and I have duplicates. I don't really collect things for value so there's no point in keeping something in the package if I intend to hang on to it.

>>7577657 Nice. Signed figures is another great reason not to unbox! Not something i've ever considered since I've never had the opportunity to visit a convention. Congrats.

>>7577617 Really don't bother with it these days. Majority of stuff I collect are either model kits which more the half the reason for buying is the building, or japanese figures in box packaging like that. Majority of the time MISB vs opened for those figures really doesn't impact the value a huge deal as long as the packaging is intact, and everything is in good condition with all the parts. People usually buy these things to pose anyway unlike the old 5POA figures where pose doesn't matter for displaying them. Not to mention it helps that the Japanese rarely do much in the way of 'sealing' a box. You might at the most have a piece of tape or transparent sticker at the top.
