>>7582754>playlineIgnoring that you’re disabled, toys are more labor intensive than most plastic consumer goods. Paint apps, plush, assembly are all considered ‘skilled labor’ and cost more even in China. Anything a robot or other machine can’t do on its own costs extra money, and the more of those processes are included in a product the more it costs. It’s a big reason why toys like Figma have increased in price so much in such a short amount of time, they’re absolutely coated in paint with a high level of precision required and that costs A LOT. It’s why Tampoprints have replaced paint apps in non-collectibles in recent years. It’s getting to the point that toy assembly jobs are more kept out of the US because of OSHA bans of the processes involved than the cost of labor, OSHA fucking hates the kind of sprayops used for toy manufacturing.
>>7582813They have some fun, non-blindbag stuff in the pipeline, I’m excited for this autumn through 2021.

>>7582832He has no idea. Toys are aged based on play patterns and legal requirements regarding composition, parts size, ease of disassembly, etc. I bet this soggy mitten’s never even heard of a choke tube.
