>>7588228Right now I think everyones trying to sit back and survey where the winds are blowing. Legends are booming because those fall within the range of impulse buys, but MPs, while still popular, have sort of halted outside of stuff that was announced and combiners, which are guaranteed sellers. Taakra going full toon really shook up things and basically made a ton of stuff obsolete. Maketoys is a good example; they did a few MP style figures and none really made it big, until they did their very cartoony Jazz and it's on its third release. Considering it seems to take about 3 years or more for most 3P MP figures to see daylight and I'd say 2016 was around the time the aesthetic shift went full gear I'd say thats why we're only now seeing a bunch of things surface.
Also, sadly, I think all the attempts at spreading out from G1 seem to be failing. Some Beast Wars stuff seems to be working, but the T-beast stuff not so much. The UT stuff is getting a little traction but I doubt it'll pick up more steam. I think the Classics scale is going to make a comeback with the popularity of the Siege line, though.
