>am I missing something?That type of wrist has been found on GI Joes and became common with other lines later, but the example is just to show that even with that wrist, it's faking it. No cheek welding nor eyes lined up to the sights.
The figures that CAN aim down the sights or cheek weld have the inner shoulder joint and a good head joint, and even then, it's SOMETIMES. It's very dependant on the sculpt and even the type of rifle they're holding.
Here's an example of a figure without the inner shoulder being able to aim down the sights with a cheek weld. No inner shoulder joint, but the head has a barbell joint, which allows the head to move in close enough to do it. The gun also has a short stock, which helps a lot to shoulder it.
