Wheelie and Beachcomber are pretty good. Holy/Stakeout could have been better, but at his size, giving him more articulation would be difficult, the one that got released only needed elbows to be pretty good and he's the best out of the car Micromasters in Siege.

I'd love to see MMC Reformatted do him, they're not afraid to think outside the box a bit on character choices. Jhiaxus is long overdue for a decent toy as well, more Armada guys would be great, and I'd love to see Prime Knockout and Breakdown get some love (together).

I had the Starscream version of this as a kid, always bummed me out that he didn't have the gun from the promo art on the box. A remake of this toy that isn't a brick, actually has a transformation beyond "unfolding the legs" *and* has the gun would totally be my holy grail.

I'd have to agree. I mean, she's a fairly new character but it's a travesty how awful her toy was while the others were at least barely adequate (Knockoff, Smokescreen etc) to great (Prime, deluxe Starscream, Vehicons etc).

Wasn't Prime done by Orci & Kurtzman? That explains a lot, actually. They only like the part of TF lore they wrote, and fuck every other bit of it. I can only assume those 2 untalented bags of animal feces continue to get work because they have blackmail material on someone.

Dunno about that, seems like they wanted to make the character since 2008. I think she was the most ravaged by the budget cuts (outside of Breakdown) and they just couldn't make her work with such a crap budget.
Doesn't help that behind the scenes everything was pure chaos.

This one hurts me a lot because I have very fond memories of TFP and still consider it the end of the golden age after recently digging them all up and playing with them again. At worst it was the start of the decline, but so much of a start that it's still a very solid line (RID, the FE is almost MP levels compared to what we'll ever get in terms of accuracy and quality).

Airachnid was hands down the worst of the line but it was a fluke so random that everyone knew there was some big fuckup behind the scenes with it. I wonder if we'll ever find out what happened.

The problem with the toy was they made her a deluxe in a line of tiny deluxes, and had to make her thinner than most.
Today's standards would have made her five times as good
