Transformers G2 had multiple garish garbage figures and was mediocre as a whole. By this logic, Hasbro shouldn't have never made another Transformer figure ever again? Instead, Hasbro got a new team with fresh ideas and spent a shit ton of money on marketing which included an expensive TV show.
Bionicle G2 was half-assed and a tiny budget compared to Bionicle's 2001 release or Ninjago. The marketing was piss-poor and underfunded. It was too expensive and unengaging for kids and too cartoony and different for old fans. I doubt that this will be the last we'll see of Bionicle since reboots are seen as a profitable and safe money grab for companies.
