I was trying to get one of those shitty Megaman.EXE KOs for a custom, and every seller who still had a listing didn't actually have the damned thing. I'd get sent a tracking number and weeks would pass without an update. When I'd message the seller they'd claim it got lost in the mail, then offer to send me another which, surprise surprise, they didn't have when they checked their stock immediately afterwards. If they weren't just fucking off my order and hoping I'd forget about it, then I have to assume they were all sending these orders to the same distributor who was doing just that and not telling anyone until asked.
tl;dr: Don't forget you ordered something. You'll get a tracking number either way, and if it's out of stock there's a good chance someone in the chain will keep their mouth shut to pocket the cash.
