>>7594922Funny enough, there is a rumor circulating which states that WeiJiang was once a contractor for Hasbro.
Once Hasbro/Takara moved their manufacturing to Vietnam to save on cost, WeiJiang, along with several other disgruntled former contractors, began producing high-end knockoffs to stay afloat and take advantage of the growing Chinese market. They have the expertise after all.
This is the explanation given of why have there has been a flood of high quality KOs only recently, coincidentally after Hasbro switched to Vietnam. This is also the explanation given for the joint tolerance issues on newer figures. The Vietnam factories don't have the experience, but hey, they're cheaper, and that's the only that counts for the execs.
