There shold be new high quality figures with this design. Don't care if it's called Godzilla '98 or Zilla, just want something of higher quality than the 98 Trendmasters line.

Randy hates Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection, they still made figures for both. There's a possibility Neca will make it. I believe there is high enough demand from fans.

The movie was shit, but I, and alot of other people, like the design. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that the animated show was so damn good.

I really enjoyed that animated series. Bandai should do either that version, complete with cartoony colouring, or Zilla from Final Wars complete with papercraft Sydney opera house. The problem with Zilla is that it's a great design for a monster, but a shit design for Godzilla.

I don't have it and I haven't even seen KOTM yet, but from what I've seen of Mothra she looks fine. Yes she's not the big fluffy plush thing from the old movies but she still looks cool. Might as well complain that every Godzilla redesign isn't exactly the same as the 54 original.

The 98 Trendmasters line was really awesome, all things considered. the level of paint was amazing for a kid's toy. They really old up sculptwise. the only thing besides articulation they really lacked was the more horizonal posture of the movie design being sculpted into the actual figures.

OP here, definitely agree that the Trendmasters toys were good for what they were. I actually own all of the Baby Godzillas, and the Claw Slash Godzilla. The battery in that thing some how lasted over 15 years by the way. Definitely don't wanna diss on trendmasters, just wanting toys that are a) new and b) made for fanboys like me.

I really hate how selwctive Neca is with doing shitty movie figures as long as that shitty movie is withing one of their bigger franchises like anything Alien or generally 80s. They'll go for bullshit like the AVP films but wouldn't dare touch any 90s IPs because 'they're not as popular'. I really want the 80s nostalgia to die already. It was 40 fucking years ago.
