>>7614356I'm not presenting it from my perspective, or the perspective of a young adult / adult looking for alt builds.
But from the perspective of a child, who usually doesn't have an advanced grasp on building techniques.
How many 8-10 years old do you think visit Rebrickable?
>>7614304I do not agree that it is more expensive, I do agree that quality has certainly dropped tremendously in the last period.
Star Wars sells, plain and simple. People buy it, so LEGO sells it. It's a stable relationship by now. And I'd have no issue with it, but every Star Wars set that comes out is LEGO catering to other people's needs and not mine. Call it selfish, but I look out for myself first.
Now if they did both an in-house space theme and Star Wars - I wouldn't even care SW exists, hell, I might be happy it does as it's a good source for parts when the movies flop and sets go on discount.
But knowing that SW is the reason I don't get what I want - yeah, not going to enjoy that.
>>7614335I see this thrown around a lot. I don't think it's accurate. How can I nostalgia for something I've never had and never experienced before two years ago?
>>7614436>>7614466Good idea - make a few sets, let people pay for them in advance and once the project is funded roll them out.
