>>7607686I've seen that rumor floating along with a Nicholson Joker and a Batwing (which is also sorely needed).
Mezco had the BvS and JL Batmobiles that didn't make it to production and the trilogy Batman that we haven't had news in over a year. The latter one has a bit more life in it with Gordon getting an announcement and preorder, but still not confirmation.
It is money on the table for someone and I am surprised Mattel hasn't released one with the decent execution on the 66 and JL Batmobiles (not the RC one, which is great). Soap Studios already did an awkward piece of audio equipment with the Burtonmobile and it looks like they don't have the licenses. Maybe in a few years.
Hot Toys have been a godsend with getting some of the vehicles produced, I actually have the 89 one, but they have cited similar reasons to Mezco for not releasing their 1966 Batmobile and a few others: development time, quality control, and profitability.
Hulkbuster is a miracle after the complete re-engineering to be able to hold a regular size Iron Man and the DeLorean came out well given similar damage-in-shipping issues. The only other company in that scale trying something like that is Enterbay with the Ecto-1 and we'll see how that turns out in the next few months unless there is another delay.
The BTAS line has had the best luck with 1/12 scale vehicles, but that's also a price point 3-4 times lower now. I really hope they can make it happen at Mezco, but I'll remain critical of their past performances with vehicles larger than a Lawmaster.
