Will we ever get good MHA toys? Both options aren't the best but I guess the figma atleast won't have lumpy paint.

Ehhhhh. It's hit and miss imo. You sometimes get amazing figures like Spider-Man or you get terrible QC like Iron Spider having broken Waldos. They're definitely doing a lot better but I'm still kinda playing it by ear with them.

It was mainly about the price rather than the quality. Most of their figures as of late are pretty impressive. I mean, the actual Iron Spider figure itself is pretty good. But Mafex are also pricy as hell.

With Super Action Statue, most of the figures that are desirable nowadays are WonFes or lottery exclusives, jacking up their price even more. The paint has become sloppier and there are fewer accessories.

I kinda disagree, they're still under the 60$ and they're some like the video game Spiderman that comes with a lot of stuff (even a base!).
But in general, we do see grim tend of rising prices which resulted in the current boom of model kits.

I dunno, Mafex usually includes a good amount of accessories. John Wick 2 for example comes with 3 guns, 2 heads, a bunch of hands (pencil hand included) and doggo. Much better than Figma Deku who only comes with some faceplates and hands. At least Bakugo has effects.

Bakugou has only two faces in total, though.
Mafex isn't bad on the accessory count, but the price is up there and the QC is still a bit too shaky to warrant it.
That's not to say Figma hasn't had issues. Despite the prices rising, there have been several Figma releases as of late with issues, such as Megumin.

He seems like an okay figure and there's no indication that GSC will make him.

Honestly, I don't know why they're bothering to rerelease this Deku. He's already gone through a costume modification and he's more than likely going to go through several more to accommodate his new quirks he pulled out of his ass. I'm going to wait another decade I guess for a definitive Deku figure, if I even care for the series at that point.

If you were a company planning to make a new mold/design for a character and people are eager to pay for the old design and are constantly begging for a rerelease, does it not make sense to rerelease that figure and reveal a Figma of the updated design after you get some extra money from the first mold?

The demand for first arc Deku is still high, so rereleasing the mold means good money for them since so many people want it so badly.
But if they were to reveal an updated Deku, the interested in the original one would wane, so it makes sense to rerelease him now if they plan to show off a new one next month, or at a later point.

At the very least those line started out at their current price points (maybe a tad under for Mafex), but I still remember picking up figma loaded with accessories for 3k. Now a barebones release will be 5.5k, and accessories equal to the amount of plastic in the figure will go for 9k. Not that it makes Mafex or Bring Arts better deals, but I don't have any sweet memories of getting a bomb-ass Bring Arts for less than half the cost of a current one. Makes the cock up my ass easier to take.

Her alter ego and kind of odd personality (given her shy and conservative self in her non hero/idol/vigilante alter ego) are pretty much her desperate attempts to get noticed as an idol.

But anyways, Vigilantes is great. Hopefully it gets a spinoff anime one day and they can get figures too. They're a pretty great bunch.

That synopsis reminded me of the plot. Crawler is currently far more capable than most heroes in training, and probably pro heroes too. Stupid how someone like Mineta would end up in A-1 and Crawler can't. I wonder if at some point in the series or its end he'll become a pro. All Might is 7'2 to Deku's mid 5'. It isn't as far off as it seems, as All Might is usually drawn huge, and anime proportions (Deku's giant head plus hair) throws everything for a bit of a loop. I think he'll look really good with the Figmas though.

There were one or two stores, like CDJapan and PlayAsia, that had Deku with the pre-order bonus, but those quickly sold out.
Personally, I got both him and Bakugou at AmiAmi because I didn't expect Deku to actually be sold with the bonus the second time around, and I don't really want to ask AmiAmi to cancel my order for obvious reasons, so I'll just stick with the regular Deku. The mask doesn't matter that much to me, anyway.

I'm using Tiptran forwarding service to get it forwarded from HK. I'll have to pay 2 rounds of shipping and a $5 service charge, but should at least get it for under $120 which seems better than eBay at this point.

Neat. Still obviously prototypes but they look pretty good. I doubt we'll see anything but the first wave at SDCC, but maybe they'll have teasers or possibly grayscale protos? Anyone have any thoughts on who we might see for a potential wave 2 of 4 characters?

I'd guess Iida, Uraraka, Aizawa, and All for One.
For a wave 3, maybe Todoroki, Endeavor, Stain (since it's season 3 Stain might be too passé), and maybe Momo? Not really sure what other student is particularly notable after those first 5. Maybe Kirishima?

I really like this anime series as a comics fan. I have wanted afordable figures of the series for a couple years now.

Of course I am now saving for a house and can't afford to buy a bunch of Figma. Guess I am going to hope McFarlan toys look better in person than in the static shots. I hear their fortnite figures actually had good articulation so I can hope.

I guess it was too hopeful that the McFarlane Bakugou would have a face that sharp. The lips are outlined way too much, and it looks a lot softer in what I imagine is at least close to the final product. On their IG story.

All Might looks great, still huge bummer about his single jointed arms.

Shigaraki looks good too, shame his wrist joint are so inproportionate and bigger than his hands which looks ugly.

No one else is making a lot of stuff they do but their stuff is still trash. Paint and plastic/ rubber quality is absolute shit. Their joints and articulation suck even though they are trying to improve it's far from good.

torso joints are great. there's two for extended range.
The hips aren't bad, but they're not great either. They're average. Pretty forgivable if you like the character and the rest of the toy.
